Nyack to discuss break-ins targeting women
NYACK - Police and victims advocates will offer safety tips tomorrow night and information about an investigation into recent early morning break-ins of women's apartments.
An intruder who apparently searches for unlocked windows to enter apartments and then accosts sleeping women has struck at least twice during the past two months.
In one case, the man beat up a woman who yelled at him. In the most recent break-in, the man ran when the woman and her mother started screaming. In May, a man tried to break into another apartment but ran.
